Waiter (Waitress)


This is a Full-time position in New York, NY posted September 22, 2022.





The Runners responsibilities include delivering food from the kitchen to a customer. They are responsible for handing the order to the chef, double checking orders, matching the food ticket to the customer, and refilling customer’s drinks. They also assist the wait staff and bartenders improve the dining experience for customers. Runners will also perform a range of duties including assisting guests with orders, taking feedback, and preparing table set-ups.< /p>


  • Assist customers with their orders by explaining specials, meals, and drinks, and make recommendations.< /li>
  • Deliver food orders to avariety of customers in a timely manner.< /li>
  • Accurately explain food orders to chefs, with specific attention to allergies and special requests.< /li>
  • Help the wait staff set up tables by placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, decorations, and napkins.< /li>
  • Uphold our food health safety and sanitation principles.< /li>
  • Occasionally check on customers to handle any impromptu requests or issues.< /li>
  • Remove dirty dishes fromthe table.< /li>
  • Inform management of customer feedback.< /li>

OTHER:< /b>

  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.< /li>
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the organization. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.< /li>

  • Mustbe able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.< /li>

  • Willingness to work at peak hours, which may include evenings, holidays, and weekends.< /li>


  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by facility environmental systems.< /li>
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.< /li>
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the restaurant on a timely basis.< /li>
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.< /li>
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the property on a timely basis.< /li>

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.< /li>
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.< /li>
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.< /li>
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.< /li>


Education:< /b> High school or equivalent education preferred.< /p>

< B>Experience Required:< /b> Prior restaurant experience preferred.< /p>

< B>Licenses or Certificates< /b>: Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.< /p>
