Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Banquet Server GAMING LICENSE REQUIRED: Class III B GRADE: T01 / $15.00STATUS: Hourly, Non-ExemptJOB CODE: 201918POSITION REPORTS TO: Banquet Captain/ManagerJOB SUMMARY: The Banquet Server presents food and beverages to guests. Ensures all guest needs are met, including proper service. As directed and/or assigned, perform bartending duties which include but are not limited to mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes and measurements. Responsible for the setup and tear down of equipment for meetings and food and beverage functions in the banquet and training rooms.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements describe the general nature and level of work only. Practice, support and promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Muckleshoot Casino2. Provide service within established policy, procedure and in accordance with event BEO.3. Present food and beverages to guests.4. Perform bartending duties as directed and/or assigned. 5. Provide excellent guest service and promote positive guest relations. 6. Meet deadlines as needed.7. Stock, store, and care for all banquet equipment.8. Assist in the washing and stocking glassware and utensils as needed.9. Clean banquet and storage areas as needed.10. Ensure banquet areas are clean and restocked.11. Smile and engage Guests and Team Members with a positive, professional demeanor.12. Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment.13. Perform other duties as assigned.LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS (required/preferred):* A valid WA State Health Card/Food Handler’s Permit required. * Alcohol Service Permit Class 12 required.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required/preferred):* Must be at least 21 years of age.* High School diploma or equivalent preferred. * One (1) year restaurant/deli experience preferred.SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION: * Demonstrate efficient and healthy work habits. * Demonstrate knowledge and skill in mixology, beer, and wines, as well as alcohol safety awareness.* Demonstrate working knowledge of P.O.S. systems.* Demonstrate effective communication skill both written and verbal. Read, write, and speak English fluently.* Demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts. * Exhibit quick and efficient serving skills. * Exhibit working knowledge of health safety standards, and safety regulations as required.JOB DEMANDSPHYSICAL The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform essential functions of this job. Shift work, holidays, weekends, or nights may be assigned.Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.Specific vision ability includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office or required equipment and examine or update documents, records, data, instructions, logs, and files. MENTAL Social perceptiveness to assess and understand other’s reactions and behavior. Critical thinking to use logic and reasoning, reach conclusions/solutions. Comprehension in assessing, analyzing, and processing alpha, numeric, and visual data and completing required tasks or documents accurately. Ability to tolerate stress and conduct tasks under critical deadlines. Ability to concentrate on task over a period of time without being distracted. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing functions of his/her job and in areas monitored by security or surveillance cameras. Work in casino operations and/or internal or external environments occasionally.
