Our associates gain valuable experience here while meeting guests and coworkers from around the world, and in their free time they have a magical world of pristine mountain meadows, majestic waterfalls, peaceful old-growth forests, and much more to explore! Throughout the season we have regularly scheduled activities and day trips with transportation provided for associates, including trips to nearby adventures or cities like Seattle to visit Pike Place or catch a Mariners game! Employees with vehicles are only a short 2-hour trip away from exploring many destinations like Portland and Seattle on their own.Because of our unique location, room and board are provided to associates who do not live in one of our surrounding communities at a very low-cost via payroll deduction. Laundry facilities are provided at each dorm unit at no cost to employees. Employee meals are served in Employee Dining Rooms. We can also accommodate a limited number of RV units. If so, we want to hear from you!2022 Summer Season runs May through OctoberBusperson – Paradise InnJOB SUMMARYResponsible for assisting the Server to deliver bread, serve water and other beverages, replenish supplies, and assist to maintain the cleanliness of all dining room areas.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSGreet guests promptly and in a polite, positive manner; answer questions as necessaryAssist the Server with delivering bread, serving water and other beverages, and replenishing suppliesMaintain pleasant dining experience by serving food and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner, checking on guests regularly, communicating with kitchen, and attending to guest needsPerform setup/clean-up duties before and after each meal service including vacuuming, arranging furniture, and changing linensComplete all “sidework” including stocking service areas with coffee, food, tableware, and linensReport gratuities at the end of each shift as required by company policy and lawPerforms such other related duties as directed or requiredSKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDEPartial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferredFood Safety certification; strong sanitation habitsNational Park food service experience preferredAbility to learn and use food service POS system including computerized cash register and credit card terminalAbility to solve guest problems and refer to management as necessaryPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTSMove about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently; otherwise move in a changing environmentLift, carry, and push up to 15 lbs. regularly, 20-30 lbs. frequently, and up to 40 lbs. occasionallyAble to stand for extended periodsWork in wet and slippery conditionsSpeech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of guests and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly to be understood by same in English; read and write in EnglishConstantly communicate and receive verbal communication with others in a fast-paced kitchen and dining roomPhysical presence at the job site is essential to perform job dutiesEQUIPMENT USEDRestaurant equipment, including trays, bus tubs, cleaning supplies and solutions, washcloths, drink machines, etc.Guest Services, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
