Responsible for the daily set-up of banquet rooms and pre-function areas. Must maintain a positive attitude and work well with banquet servers. Maintains cleanliness of all banquet rooms and storage closets.

Essential Task/Functions:

  • Greet guests upon arrival to ensure their needs are met. Offer assistance to all guests.
  • Vacuum, sweep or mop all surfaces in banquet rooms every time setting up a room.
  • Properly spell name of group on reader boards (marquee).
  • Complete daily duty list at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Remove all dirty dishes and break items after each function put away in the correct location.
  • Arrange centerpieces on each break table.
  • Turn off all lights in banquet room when not in use.
  • Clean storage closets.
  • Responsible for serving banquets, helping clear tables and dance floor.
  • Must maintain audio/visual equipment making sure it works when setting up a room.
  • Regularly check thermostats.
  • Take dirty linens to housekeeping laundry room.
  • Wear uniform properly tie or bow tie, name tag, vest and black shoes with rubber soles.
  • Keep pool area clean and neat.
  • Return trays with dirty dishes to kitchen and empty them at the dish wash area.


  • Read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Neat and well-groomed appearance. Must wear proper uniform and black rubber soled shoes.
  • Requires finger dexterity, grasping, sitting, standing, walking, writing, bending, repetitive motion, hearing, visual acuity and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular and continual basis. Must be able to stand and exert fast paced mobility for periods up to four (4) hours in length.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
  • Maintaining a high level of quality, service and communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Eye for detail and ability to set-up audio/visual equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions. Perform required job functions under limited supervision. Works with a team concept, serve customer needs and interacts with large numbers of diverse people.


  • Maintain a high level of quality, service efficiency and cleanliness through guest feedback according to Wisco Hotel Group standards.
  • Arrive on time and ready to work scheduled shift.
  • Follow all state and federal guidelines, including OSHA Hazardous Communication Training.
  • Follow all federal, state and local laws and rules or regulations.
  • Clean, maintain and organize all equipment.
